Council of Schools Offers Homework Help for Parents

Kings Park parents invited to attend seminar at 6 p.m. Monday.

If you're a Kings Park parent tired of struggling with your child over homework every night, let Monday be the last night.

Kings Park Council of Schools will be hosting a Homework Help workshop at 6 p.m. Monday at Kings Park High School in Room 101, before their regularly scheduled meeting.

The Council of Schools has invited New York State certified teachers to offer their best tips and advice on how help your child with their homework even when you aren't sure what you are doing - a common complaint with new Common Core curriculum -, build a child's self confidence, and reinforce your child's success in school.

Following the workshop, there will be time for a question-and-answer session with educators to address homework concerns. Parents are invited to bring examples from home.

Those interested in attending can RSVP via email to Kim Coluccio at kimcoluccio@optonline.net.
