Academic Award Winners to be Recognized by Board of Ed

Kings Park Board of Education will host a public meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Several Kings Park students who have won a variety of academic awards will be recognized by school trustees on Tuesday night. 

Kings Park Board of Education will hold a public meeting 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Kings Park High School. 

The Board of Education will honor and recognize Kings Park senior Bhavani Ananthabhotla, 17, who was selected as an Intel semifinalist for her work wwith Dr. Clinton Rubin & Ete Chan at Stony Brook University where she researched, "The Efficacy of Mechanical Stimulation to Improve Cortical Bone Quality in a Diet-induced Obesity Model, as determined by an Investigation of mechanical, Areal and Material Property."

Board trustees will also give recognition to the R.J.O Intermediate School 2014 Spelling Bee winners, Model UN competition winers, volunteers with the Shanti Fund and American Scholastic Press Association’s First Place Award Winners.
