Town Board Meeting on Proposed Retirement Center at St. Johnland

Town will consider zoning change and environmental impact statement for proposed retirement center.

 

The Town of Smithtown Town Board will meet Tuesday evening to consider an Environmental Impact statement regarding the proposed continuing care retirement community at St. Johnland Nursing Center.

In addition, the town will consider a change of zone petition for the property and amendments to a portion of the town code as it relates to Congregate Care Facilities and Continuing Care Retirement Community.

The center is planning to locate the community across the street from its existing facility on Sunken Meadow Road in Kings Park.

Also on the agenda for the meeting is a change of zoning from R-43 to WSI(Wholesale Service Industry) by Anthony Leteri for property located at Lawrence Road and Old Northport Road in Kings Park.

The meeting will be held Thursday evening at 7 at the Eugene A. Cannataro Center in Smithtown.
