Friday's crisp fall air wasn't a deterrent for hundreds of Kings Park residents as they came out to honor local veterans.
The parade route was full of cheering residents as the veterans, local fireman and dozens of girl scouts, boy scouts and members of local sports organizations marched by.
Rev. Sean Gann of St. Joseph's Church led the post-parade ceremony with prayer and district superintendent Susan Agruso shared her story of burying her uncle, a WWII veteran this past week.

Parade goers were invited back to the Veterans of Foreign War Hall for hotdogs and sodas after the parade.
