Five Things You Need to Know For Election Day

Who is running and where to vote.

Time to make your voice heard and head out to the polls. Patch will have election coverage throughout the day. Check back later to participate in our online poll and tell us who you voted for.

1.     Election Day is Tuesday. Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 9 p.m.

2.     Polling places in Kings Park include all five schools in the district. Click here to find your polling place.

3.     Two Smithtown Town Council Seats are open.

4.     Legis. Lynne Nowick is running unopposed for her seat on the Suffolk county Legislature.

Thanks for posting this....I always forget what Election District I'm in...On another note...I thought Smithtown Code prohibits campaign signs on town property....I find it extremely troublesome that the Highway Department, next to the KPHS, is allowed to Advertise on town property for particular candidates...Were town employees on duty, being paid with tax dollars, setting up that truck with all the GOP signage....What next, School district buses with political bumper stickers??? Just more BS from a corrupt Smithtown government...

for the rcord its the parks dept. and that right of way is state property.
