Police: Woman in Possession of Stolen Property from Nassau, Suffolk

Police say cell phones, GPS units, laptops, iPods and more were stolen from cars and found in a local woman's possession.

Police arrested a Kings Park woman Wednesday on criminal possession of stolen property charges, according to police.

Police said they received a call at roughly 2:30 a.m. Wednesday of someone trying to break into cars on Ketewamoke Avenue in Babylon. A man and his son followed the suspects, Danielle Giannini, 30, of Kings Park, as well as Justin Llewellyn, 23, after they fled the scene, and were later found by officers. During a search of their car, items from cell phones to GPS units, laptops, iPods, a silverware set and other electronic devices were found in the vehicle, items that after an investigation were determined to be stolen over the past few weeks from cars in Suffolk and Nassau.

Giannini was charged with fourth and fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property and arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Thursday.
