Police Ask Public's Help to Identify Shoplifter

Authorities say that a female shoplifter was caught on camera.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Second Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the woman who stole items from Sears in East Northport.

Police said that a black female entered Sears, located at 4000 Jericho Turnpike June 14 at approximately 4:10 p.m. and took clothing and perfume and left the store without paying. A security guard approached the suspect in the parking lot and recovered the merchandise. The suspect left prior to police arrival. 

The subject is approximately 5-feet, 4-inches tall, with a heavyset build. She appears to be in her mid-40s to early-50s. She was wearing a peach and red shirt and glasses.
