Man Slips Out of Kings Park Restaurant Without Paying

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Commack man was arrested on Sept. 26 and charged with one misdemeanor count of failure to pay for services based on stealth. Police said the man ordered food and drank several alcoholic drinks at the Celtic Crossing Tavern in Kings Park, then left without paying. His bill totaled more than $100. 

Peter Higgins, 24, of Smithtown, was arrested on Sept. 25 in Kings Park and faces one felony charge of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Police said Higgins sold jewelry reported stolen after a burglary to Suffolk Jewelry Traders for more than $1,000 cash.

Kristen Marquardt, 52, of Smithtown, was arrested on Sept. 24 and charged with one misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated - first offense. Police said Marquardt was driving a 2002 gray Honda SUV along Route 25A/Main Street in Kings Park when she hit a 2012 Chevy Ford sedan. Marquardt appeared to be intoxicated and failed a field sobriety test, according to police reports.
