Kings Park Fire Department Snuffs Out Laundromat Fire

A fire broke out at the laundromat located at 75 Main Street on Sunday.

 A fire broke out in a laundromat on Main Street on Sunday but was quickly knocked down by responding fire departments.

Kings Park Fire Department Assistant Chief Dan Guilfoil, said a fire started inside one of the dryers at in the rear of the building, located at 75 Main Street. The fire went through the ventilation system, getting into the ceiling and caused some damage to the rear of the store.

Smithtown, East Northport and Commack fire departments provided assistance.
