Kings Park Man Airlfted After Motorcycle Accident

Accident happened on Indian Head Road Sunday afternoon.

A Kings Park man was airlifted to Stony Brook University Medical Center on Sunday afternoon after he struck a car while riding his motorcycle.

According to Suffolk County police, Patricia Esculish was driving a 2011 Honda east on Hudson Road and attempted to make a left turn onto Indian Head Road when she was struck by a 2003 Yamaha, driven by Christopher Foster, who police said was driving south on Indian Head Road about 3 p.m.

Foster, 30, of Thistle Lane, received serious, but non-life threatening injuries, said police.

Esuclish, 83, of Garden City, and her sister Joan Chicosky, of Kings Park, were taken to St. Catherine Medical Center by the Kings Park Fire Department where they were treated for minor injuries.

Foster was cited for having an unregistered motor vehicle, an uninspected motor vehicle and driving without insurance, according to police, who said both vehicles were impounded for safety checks. The road was closed by police for part of the afternoon as police conducted an investigation.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and is asking anyone with information to call the fourth squad at 631-854-8452 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
