Kings Park FD Stomps Down Brush Fire

Brush fire off Sunken Meadow Parkway reported around 3:20 p.m., knocked down by 4:40, according to county police.

As dry conditions continue in Suffolk County and brush fires remain a threat throughout the county, Kings Park Fire Department knocked down a brush fire off Sunken Meadow Parkway Sunday afternoon.

According to Suffolk County Police, a call for the brush fire came in around 3:20 p.m., and Suffolk County Fire Rescue Emergency Services reported that the fire was under control by 4:40 p.m.

Kings Park Fire Department was not immediately available for comment.

According to Suffolk Police, the fire occurred east of Sunken Meadow Parkway, north of Pulaski Street, in the vicinity of King Street.

Police said there were no road closures.
