DWI Charge For Two-Car Collision on East Main Street
Crash at nearby gas station results in small car fire.
Police say a drunk driver was at the wheel of a car involved in a two-car collision Tuesday evening resulting in a small car fire at a gas station on St. Johnland Road and East Main Street.
According to police, Jeffery Hilgreen Jr., 23 of East Northport was arrested for DWI when the 2008 Subaru he was driving was involved in a car accident at approximately 8:30 p.m. at the Citgo gas station. The Kings Park Fire Department responded, sending ambulances and rescue trucks and quickly got the fire under control.
One person was transported to St. Catherine of Sienna Hospital with minor injures.
