The following was taken from the crime blotter, with the exception of one item from the Port Chester, NY Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction as all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Three Village
Police are investigating an incident of criminal mischief at in Setauket in which the greens were damaged and liquid dish soap bottles, beer cans, and lawn chairs were found nearby. The incident took place between 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 17 and 5:45 a.m. on Aug. 18.
According to a police report, an unknown person broke a window at a home on Salem Drive in East Setauket and stole 30 figurines from a display cabinet at approximately 7 p.m. on Aug. 17.
According to a police report, an unknown person kicked in the rear door of a home on Gnarled Hollow Road in Setauket at approximately 1:35 p.m. on Aug. 16. Police said the homeowners returned home and the suspect fled without taking any property.
Port Jefferson
Oswaldo Garcia, 46, of Coram, was arrested Aug. 17 at 9:16 p.m. in Port Jefferson and charged with aggravated DWI. Police said they stopped Garcia on Main Street after he allegedly crossed over into oncoming traffic while speeding. He had his young daughter in the car.
Northport
Christopher Fazio, 21, of East Northport was arrested on Aug. 20 after Port Chester Police . Police say he also had prescription pills in his pocket. He was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Police said Fazio had over 500 miligrams of cocaine in his possession.
