Crimes Nearby: Commack Home Burglarized

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The Suffolk County and New York State Police Department reported the following arrests.

Commack

• Suffolk County police responded to a reported burglary of a Commack home on Jan. 24.
Police said that the alleged burglar or burglars forced their way through the back door of a home on Beacon Lane between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. The homeowners told police that they discovered missing jewelry. No arrests have been made in the case, so far.


Hauppauge

• Kenneth Hunter, 20, of Lake Ronkonkoma, was arrested on Jan. 25 in Hauppauge on a petty larceny charge, a misdemeanor. Hunter reportedly took a red North Face jacket without permission from an undisclosed store at 12 p.m.

• Peter Cirrone, 47, of Ronkonkoma, was arrested on Jan. 23 in Hauppauge on petty larceny charges, a misdemeanor, after he allegedly took vitamins from Shop Rite at 7:10 p.m. without paying for them.

• Ramelle Dixon, 23, of Copaigue, was arrested on Jan. 23 on a charge of loitering with the unlawful use of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. According to police, Dixon was in possession of crack cocaine and heroin, and loitering at 6 Bee Dr. at 3:05 p.m.

Smithtown

• Timothy Stocker, 51, of Lake Grove, was arrested on Jan. 24 in Smithtown on a fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon charge, a misdemeanor levied because of a prior felony conviction. Reports state Stocker was convicted of a felony in 1986 and was found to be in possession of a rifle and a shotgun in his home, which he surrendered to police.

• Anthony Wilk, 39, of Bay Shore, was arrested on Jan. 23 on a charge of criminal possession of a forged instrument in the first degree, a felony. Wilk allegedly used three counterfeit $20 bills at a deli at 9:30 a.m.

Miller Place-Rocky Point

• Brian McManus, 30, of Miller Place, was arrested Jan. 21 in Miller Place and charged with first-degree burglary, a felony, after police said he displayed what appeared to be a pistol and stole money from a victim at 125 Broadway in Rocky Point. He allegedly said he was police in order to gain entry through the front door. He was also charged with an additional felony for allegedly impersonating an officer to commit a felony.

• Steven Korth, 23, of Rocky Point, was arrested Jan. 22 in South Setauket and charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. Korth was arrested at Home Depot on Pond Path after allegedly taking a box containing a drill and walking past the cash register.


Port Jefferson

Police: Pair Allegedly Stole Copper Pipe From Abandoned Home

• Police nabbed an opportunistic pair of alleged burglars around noon on Jan. 25 after concerned neighbors called about a suspicious vehicle in the area. Vanessa Schultz, 37, of Coram, and Brandon Schultz, 40, of Selden, were charged with third-degree burglary, a felony, and accused by police of stealing copper piping from an abandoned residence on Clinton Avenue in Port Jefferson Station. They were caught less than an hour after the alleged crime occurred. Police did not know if they were related.
