Crimes Nearby: Huntington Station Man Dies After Being Shot

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Suffolk County police reported the following information:

Huntington Station

A Huntington Station man died after being shot in the head at a local deli Saturday.

Michael Fredericks, 26, died at Huntington Hospital after the shooting at Los Campos Deli, located at 161 Depot Rd. in Huntington Station at about 10:18 p.m., according to police.

Before police arrived at the scene, the victim was transported to the hospital were he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, according to police.

Hauppauge

Omer Ergun, 20, of Nesconset, was arrested Feb. 1 in Smithtown on fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property charges. Ergun was allegedly in possession of a mobile pre music box.

Carmen Sabino, of Brentwood, was arrested Feb. 3 in Hauppauge and charged with driving while under the influence, first offense. Police said Sabino was driving on Route 111 when she attempted to make a left hand turn where it wasn't permitted. Officers pulled her over and administered a field sobriety before arresting Sabino.

Anthony Legette Jr., of North Amityville, was arrested Feb. 3 and charged with driving under the influence, first offense. Police said Legette was driving on Route 347 when he was noticed for failing to maintain his lane.

Jason Faraone, 37, or Ronkonkoma, was arrested in Smithtown at the intersection of Route 347 and Route 111 on charges of altering a document or plate and third-degree possession of a forged instrument. Faraone allegedly altered the license plate on a 1998 Buick to look like another number.

John Watkinson, of Nesconset, was arrested Feb.1 and charged with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance. Police said Watkinson was found in possession of drugs at the corner of Old Nichols Road and Midwood Avenue.

Three Village

A homeless man was arrested Jan. 29 in Stony Brook and charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property. Calvin Daniels, 20, allegedly stole a car – a 2006 Mercury – and had a stolen cell phone in his possession when he was arrested.

Jiyoung Yoon, 22, of Stony Brook, was arrested Jan. 27 in Stony Brook and charged with second-degree harassment. She allegedly punched a police officer at around 2 a.m. on the roadway at the corner of Route 347 and Stony Brook Road.

Port Jefferson

A burglar tried to get into the by breaking into the rear door. The diner's owner discovered that someone had tried to pry the doorknob off a door and broke glass on the building at 3:30 a.m. on Jan. 23. Nothing was reported stolen.

Thomas Baxter, 24, of Patchogue, was arrested on Jan. 29 at 7:17 p.m. in Port Jefferson on charges of disorderly conduct. Police report that he and others blocked the entrance of the Upper Main Street Deli in Port Jefferson and refused to moved.

Deborah Bressack, 54, of Goshen, was arrested on Jan. 29 at 11:56 p.m. on Main Street in Port Jefferson on charges of disorderly conduct. Bressack was reported to be using obscene language and causing alarm and annoyance to patrons outside of a bar.
