Crime Report: Stolen Items from Smithaven Mall, and Harassment Charge

A blotter of the latest arrests and incidents in Kings Park.

Suffolk County Police Department Fourth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Kings Park during Dec. 24—Jan 1: 

A seventeen year old female, of Kings Park was arrested Dec.30 in Lake Grove and charged with petit larceny.  Reports state on Dec. 28 she was arrested and charged with petit larceny after allegedly stealing assorted jewelry from JC Penny located in the Smithaven Mall.  Reports state she was recently arrested after allegedly stealing assorted jewelry and clothing from Macy's located in the Smithaven Mall. 

Paul Sottile, 43, of Kings Park was arrested Dec. 29 in Kings Park and charged with second degree harassment.  Further information could not be provided.

None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed above. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  If any of the above charges have been acquitted, in order for removal from publication, one must write the writer and provide proof of dismissal.
