Couple On Jet Ski Swept Under Pier at Kings Park Bluff

KPFD rescues wife, minor injuries reported.

A swift current knocked a husband and wife who were Jet Skiing under a portion of the pier at the Kings Park Bluff last Sunday, prompting a response from the Kings Park Fire Deaprtment.

According to Ed Goutink of the Kings Park Fire Department, the couple was trying to land when a strong current swept them under the pier. Upon arrival, the KPFD found the husband out of the water with minor injuries, his wife however, was still in the water, clinging to the Jet Ski, where firefighters helped the woman back onto shore.
