Southampton Town police said a driver they found driving drunk through Bridgehampton on Tuesday had two prior DWI convictions.

Donald W. Vicital, 48, of Kings Park, was arrested on a felony drunken driving charge due to two prior convictions in the past 10 years.

Police said they received a call of an erratic driver heading east on County Road 39, near the Dunkin' Donuts, in Southampton. An officer stopped Vicital on Montauk Highway, near School Street, at about 7:45 p.m. He appeared intoxicate and was taken into custody.

During his arrest, police found two different kinds of Alprazolam and Clonazepam in his possession without a prescription. He was additionally charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh-degree, a misdemeanor.

According to The Journal News in Westchester County, Vicital was arrested on a felony DWI charge in 2010 after he crashed into a guard rail on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Mount Pleasant, injuring himself. He was previously convicted of DWI in January 2004, as well.
