Question: What Does Freedom Mean to You?

Take a moment before the fireworks tonight to reflect on what the Fourth of July means, and what memories it brings.

The Fourth of July is celebrated across the nation with fireworks, parades and family barbecues. But what does it truly mean?

Friends and family are gathering this afternoon to kick back, cook up a few hot dogs and hamburgers and perhaps jump in the ocean or pool. While this might be a slice of Americana, as these traditions are decades old, some argue that the meaning of the Fourth of July gets lost in the celebration.

This 4th of July marks Independence Day, the formal adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776 which gave birth to the United State of America. It was a declaration of freedom from British rule. Freedom is still an ideal strongly talked about and fought for through today.

We'd like to ask, what does freedom mean to you this Fourth of July?

The United States Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Both of which are under attack by the current regime in Washington DC.
