Musical Moments in Kings Park Tunes Up For Summer

Concert series held in Savatt Park set to begin on June 22.

Musical Moments in Kings Park is back and will kick off their first performance for the season on June 22 with a performance by the Acoustic 6, with Gary Pumillia.

The series will have a total of 11 performances and will be held at Russ Savatt Park on Main Street next to . The concerts are free and are held weather permitting from 7:30-9 p.m.

The concerts, made possible through the efforts of the Kings Park Civic Association, the chamber of commerce and local business, have increased in frequency, up from

Organizer Diane Tabone said residents should bring seating to the shows and plan on visiting a local restaurant.

 

Here's the line up:

June 22 - The Acoustic 6 with Gary Pumillia - soft acoustic rock

June 29 - Latin Dancing by Argentine Tango Lovers of LI, tango lesson by Sherry Palencia and mixed ballroom dancing.

July 6- Abraxas with John Fallon, a Santana band.

July 13- Joanne Amante & Frank Walker. Acoustic singers and songwriters.

July 20- All Good Friends. Popular tunes sung by eight talented friends.

July 27- Nick of Time with Ron Vulpis. Country, rock and pop.

Aug 3- Stripped Down Band with Artie Jacques. Rock and Country.

Aug 10- Kings Park Trio with Pat Lanasa. Dance music, ethnic.

Aug 17- Glenn Baldwin and Friends of Jazz. A festival of jazz music.

Aug 24- The Troubadours. Classical, pop and show tunes.

Aug 31- To be announced.
