Amante, a Kings Park resident, began singing as a child. Her father, a blues/jazz guitarist, led folk groups in church, where Amante sang in the choir throughout her teens and twenties. Walker and Amante met at an open mike night. Walker, of Hicksville, also showed his love for music at an early age, and became an adept at piano, guitar, bass and drums during high school.

Musical Moments in Kings Park, a series of free outdoor concerts, are held (weather permitting) each Friday through August 31. Please bring seating.
