Event Spotlight: Tango on Main Street

Musical Moments in Kings Park will host a demonstration and teaching of the tango Friday evening.

 

The temperature is about to spike and we don’t mean the impending heat wave this weekend, we are talking the tango, right here on Main Street.

The Argentine Tango Lovers of Long Island will be demonstrating and teaching the art of the tango, along with mixed ballroom dancing Friday evening at Savatt Park.

According to Carol Kelly of Musical Moments, the group originated ten years ago and is made up of 170 dancers who are dedicated to the preservation of the traditional Argentine tango. Audience members are welcome to take a turn or just observe.
