5 Effective Weight Loss Tips For 2013

Make 2013 your best year ever; for your body, your health and your life. Here are my five favorite SUCCESS STRATEGIES for dropping the pounds.

Whoo Hoo! You made it through the holidays! I hope you enjoyed all of the delicious tables full of food and the overdue get together’s with family and friends. I REALLY hope you didn’t go too overboard with the indulgences…. but even if you gained some weight and/over-indulged in a few too many foods loaded with sugar and starch, it’s OK… Now, January 2013, is the perfect time to set some new goals for yourself so that this year, 2013 is your best year ever; for your body, your health and your life. Here are my five favorite SUCCESS STRATEGIES:

Set realistic resolutions. Can you guess what resolution is the number one most popular resolution made by people? You guessed it, to “lose weight”. Make sure your “lose weight” resolution is realistic. Here’s a great example of a specific, measurable, attainable and realistic goal: I want to lose 24 pounds in three months, I will track my progress by weighing myself every three days and keeping track of my body measurements.

Don’t be a quitter. So you gained some weight over the holidays… don’t use that as an excuse to give up on yourself and jump on the Runaway Food Train. Smithtown Weight Loss is not a quick-fix crash diet, but instead a lifestyle. It’s a program that can be with you through thick and thin (pun intended!). Look at Smithtown Weight Loss as a program that will always be there for you. Cutting sugar out of your diet and improving your health is a marathon, not a sprint. It's best to pace yourself and go for the long haul!

Variety is the spice of life.  It’s much easier (and fun) to stick with Smithtown Weight Loss when take advantage of the one hundred plus (and growing) delicious, slow or low-carb and low glycemic recipes that are available to you. Don’t fall into a rut…I’m sure that you’ll discover some new favorites!

Expect the unexpected. It’s inevitable that your life will get super busy, and vending machines, picking up a pizza or fast food drive-thru’s will tempt you. Fortunately, I have created many Success Strategies and put together a slew of snack, smoothie and power bar recipes to keep you satisfied (and ease your sugar cravings without spiking your blood sugar). Stash some quick, high protein snacks in your purse, briefcase, desk drawer, gym bag or glove compartment so that you always have a low glycemic snack at your fingertips. This is really important when you’re on the go. Do you need a cure for your chocolate fix? Try a  Low Carb Chocolate Egg Cream.

A support system is the Golden Key to success. It has been proven that people who have long term weight-loss have something in common, a great support system in place. What would it be like if your life partner was to get on board and live heathier too? Imagine both of you supporting and cheering each other on! It’s a win/win. What about other possible people who could support your new lifestyle; friends, children, parents, your friends. Here at Casa Rosati, we’re a low glycemic family! We all eat the same way. Have you ever thought about starting up a “Biggest Loser” type of competition at work or within your extended family? From what I understand, the singing sensation Jennifer Hudson did just that and her and her family collectively lost over 250 pounds and are still going strong! The possibilities are endless and your health and wellness is worth every effort.

Here’s to 2013 being your best, healthiest and sexiest year yet!

Apparently you are not the only one this is happening to. From what I understand if these signs areRead More on a main drag somehow they are disappearing in the middle of the night. Hmmm, now I wonder who or what organization could be doing this illegal act? I'm not going to make an educated guess who could be involverd in this deed but I think if Kings Parkers do some research they are smart enough to figure out who does not want the real facts of the "Uplands Project" to come to light. Displaying these signs is a way of making the public aware of the atrocity of this project. Questions will then be asked. Making a night run to remove them is, at the least, a cowardly act that should be publicized every time it occurs!
