Out Of The Mouths Of Babes......

One of the greatest parenting pleasures is when one begins to be able to communicate verbally with their child.

October 25, 2001 - Daughter #2, then 23 months, had been speaking very well over the past several months. She could parrot almost any word, and was also beginning to put sentences together on her own. The only problem was that she wasn't very nice sometimes.

For example, when I would scold her, or tell her that she could not have something, she would put her hands on her hips, and with her best sneer, say "I don't like you Daddy." I guess it was my first glimpse of what it would be like to navigate parenting two tween/teen girls.
