Health & Fitness

Strength for Life, local non profit is selected as recipient of Islander’s Fight Against Cancer Hockey Night.

Strength for Life (strengthforlifeNY.org) has been invited to participate in the Islander/Rangers game on October 29 with proceeds assisting programs that provide FREE exercise classes and wellness retreats to cancer patients on Long Island.

Besides enjoying the rivalry of the Islanders and Rangers you will be helping the many cancer patients/survivors on Long Island regain their strength for life.

Strength for Life classes are held at Mather Hospital, Stony Brook Cancer Center, in East Meadow, Lake Success, Seaford and Bay Shore.  With the interest of 4 survivors we will seek donated space to make the classes as accessible as possible for the survivor to attend.  We do our best to eliminate all the excuses ... so they will "just do it!"
