DEC and EPA Visits the site
After visiting the site last week, Mr. Peter Scully, The Regional Director of The DEC has told us that he will:
1. Redouble his efforts
2. He will make sure there is more focus to approach
3. Increase scrutiny
4. Reassure he is on our side
There are some of the bigger issues that need to be addressed to The Town and/Public Safety and are not under The DEC Jurisdiction.
Town of Smithtown is responsible for:
1. Zoning
Public Safety is responsible for:
1. Land Debris
2. Ditch off the side of the road
3. The Trucks coming in even when there is a No 2 1/2 Ton Truck sign on the entire perimeter of the property in question.
