Event Spotlight: 9/11 Remembrance, The Blessing of the Shields

An annual mass of remembrance and honor at St. Joseph's Church.

Sunday, at noon, St. Joseph's Church will hold its annual mass for the Blessing of the Shields.

The church invites all those who serve in police departments, fire departments, correction officers, sheriffs, EMT’s, emergency service units, auxiliary police, both active and retired as they pray for God’s Blessing on you and the service you provide our communities.

The following excerpt is from the weekly bulletin of St. Joseph's Church:

As our nation and parish observes the Eleventh Anniversary of the heartbreak of September 11, 2001, we also recall the selfless heroism of all those who respond to our needs in times of danger and threat.
Our collective prayer is that God will always watch over and protect the dedicated men and women that serve our communities and work to ensure the public good and domestic tranquility.
