Boy Scouts Honors Fort Salonga Resident For Leadership

David Hunt, president of Hunt Corporation Services, honored for his work as an Eagle Scout counselor.

The Boy Scouts of America have chosen to honor a Fort Salonga man as one of their distinguished citizens of 2013.

David Hunt was one of three individuals chosen to be a recipient of the 2013 Distinguished Citizens award. The awards recognizes the noteworthy and extraordinary leadership of citizens in our communities.

Hunt, president of Hunt Corporation Services, is an Eagle Scout himself and serves as an Eagle Scout counselor. He will be recognized at an award dinner and dance scheduled for Nov. 22 at Flowerfield in St. James.

For over a century the Boy Scouts of America has been the nation’s foremost youth program of character development and values based leadership training. This “youth” program has long-lasting benefits, to members once they become adults and to their communities.
