Smithtown Board of Zoning Appeals
The Smithtown Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday to hear  requests for zone changes and variances from local businesses. Check Patch later to get a preview of what's on the BZA's agenda. 

Smithtown Library Board of Trustees

The Smithtown Special Library District's Board of Trustees will hold a public meeting 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Nesconset branch. Hear the board discussing importanti issues or share a few of your own. 

Smithtown Town Board
The Town of Smithtown's elected council members will gather 8 p.m. Thursday at the Eugene A. Cannataro Senior Citizen Center in Smithtown to discuss business. Check Patch later this week for full details of what issues are on the agenda.


Sixth Annual Networking for a Cause Food Drive / Toy Drive / Clothing Drive

A night of great business networking and charity that will benefit the Salvation Army of Long Island, the children of Angela's House, and the St Joseph's Food Bank in Kings Park.

The event is free for anyone who brings Food, Clothing, Toys, or Gift Cards to stores where we can purchase Food, Clothing, or Toys.  General admission is $20 for those who do not bring items or gift cards. Tuesday evening, 5:30, Ciro's Hauppauge.

Kings Park in the Know General Meeting

Getting our kids involved in community activities can keep them from from engaging in destructive decisions. KPITK is looking for volunteers to join for future events that they are planning. They are also looking for fresh ideas. Tuesday evening, 7 at the Kings Park Library.

Apparently you are not the only one this is happening to. From what I understand if these signs areRead More on a main drag somehow they are disappearing in the middle of the night. Hmmm, now I wonder who or what organization could be doing this illegal act? I'm not going to make an educated guess who could be involverd in this deed but I think if Kings Parkers do some research they are smart enough to figure out who does not want the real facts of the "Uplands Project" to come to light. Displaying these signs is a way of making the public aware of the atrocity of this project. Questions will then be asked. Making a night run to remove them is, at the least, a cowardly act that should be publicized every time it occurs!
