Smithtown Town Board Meeting

The Smithtown Town Board will meet Tuesday at 2 p.m. at town hall. The agenda, which is posted by 5 p.m. on Monday, can be found here.

Caleb Smith State Park: Tiny Tots "Let's Discover Nature" Hour

This program is for children ages 3-5 and will run from 10am - 11am.  Each program with have a different nature theme with a hands-on activity. Caleb Smith Park, Thursday, 10 a.m.

Irish Step Dancing Lessons for Children and Adults

Learn the fine art of Irish step dancing at the An Rince Mor School of Irish Dance. Classes are held at the Brush Barn, Tues. 4 p.m.

Chabad of Mid-Suffolk 3rd Annual Menorah Parade

Join the Chabad Hebrew School in Limos and Party buses as they drive around town with Menorahs on our roofs advertising the Holiday of Lights. Wed. 2:30 p.m.

A Christmas Carol - A Ghost Story of Christmas

Michael Wilson’s adaptation is a creative re-telling of Dickens’
classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, the heartless miser who discovers the true
meaning of the holiday season after a Christmas Eve haunting.  Featuring Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchit, the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Wed. 8 p.m. Engeman Theater.

Apparently you are not the only one this is happening to. From what I understand if these signs areRead More on a main drag somehow they are disappearing in the middle of the night. Hmmm, now I wonder who or what organization could be doing this illegal act? I'm not going to make an educated guess who could be involverd in this deed but I think if Kings Parkers do some research they are smart enough to figure out who does not want the real facts of the "Uplands Project" to come to light. Displaying these signs is a way of making the public aware of the atrocity of this project. Questions will then be asked. Making a night run to remove them is, at the least, a cowardly act that should be publicized every time it occurs!
