Weekly Planner: Make An Apron for Dad, Plant An Herb Garden

Here's what's happening in and around town.

 

The Commack Kings Park Rotary Club will hos a blood drive Monday at  2:30 p.m. at the Kings Park High School.

Master Gardener Ann Marie O'Neil will give instruction about growing, harevesting, using and preserving herbs. Participants receive an herb plant to get you started on your own herb garden. Registration is required. Tuesday, 7 p.m. at the Commack branch of the Smithtown Library.

The Kings Park Board of Education will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the high school. Agenda items include student recognition awards and a report on the investigation on trustee misconduct.

The Town of Smiththown Board of Zoning will meet on Wednesday evening at 7 at the Senior Citizen Center in Smithtown.

Is Dad king of the grill? Head down to Whole Foods in Lake Grove for a  fun event decorating aprons for Dad and trying some delicious grilled vegetables. 5 p.m. Thursday.

Hmmm, now I wonder who or what organization could be doing this illegal act? I'm not going to make an educated guess who could be involverd in this deed but I think if Kings Parkers do some research they are smart enough to figure out who does not want the real facts of the "Uplands Project" to come to light. Displaying these signs is a way of making the public aware of the atrocity of this project. Questions will then be asked. Making a night run to remove them is, at the least, a cowardly act that should be publicized every time it occurs!
