It is going to be a beautiful fall weekend. The forecast for Saturday is 70 degrees and sunny. A bike ride on the hike and bike trail, a stroll on the boardwalk a trip to the farmers market. It's time to get out.

Las Vegas Nights

The Father Seyfried Council, Knights of Columbus is having it's annual Las Vegas Nights on Friday and Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Halll in  Kings Park from 7:30 pm to 1:00 am. Proceeds help support local charities.

St. Joseph's Church Fall Classic Craft Fair and Car Show

Vendor space is limited, so reserve early. Fr. Sean will do a "Blessing of the vehicles" Open to all Car Clubs and private owners. People's Choice Award. Free commemorative plaque to the first 50 mpre-registered vehicles. See our website for more information and registration form. Sunday, 10 a.m.

Head over to Brady Park on Maple Avenue in Smithtown for soem Halloween fun, The event is free and there will be pony rides, face painting, balloon twisting, music and a costume parade.

Local Fall Festivals and Activities

  • Spooktacular Harvest Festival

Where/When: Throughout Port Jefferson village, Saturday from Noon to dusk.

What: Annual Harvest Festival in Port Jefferson. Activities include seasonal costumed characters and musical performances throughout the Village, 100+ Costumed Dog Parade, Marshmallow Roast, Scarecrow Walk, Classic Car Exhibit, Pumpkin Decorating and other craft projects. Participate in the Village restaurants’ Annual Chowder Tasting Competition.

  • Country Fun

Harbes Farm in Mattituck comes alive in the fall with Country Fun Days beginning at 10 a.m. each weekend day. This truly North Fork experience features live music, farm animals, barnyard bounce, ponyrides, tricycle track, goat mountain, singing hayride and educational tour, pig races, lunch and dinner country fresh food, wine tasting, local fruits and vegetables and more. Read more about Harbes and take a photo tour of all three North Fork locations here.

  • United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch

Get a pumpkin, grab a a coffee and pastry over at Park Shop bakery. It's a great way to start your weekend. Open everyday in October, 9 a.m.- 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m.- 7 p.m. on Sunday.

  • Borella's Harvest Fall Festival

Every weekend in October and Monday October 8th, Columbus Day between 10a.m.-5 p.m.. Borella's has pumpkin picking, music, food, bouncie houses, corn maze, roasted corn, face painting and  hay rides. $10 per person.
