Fort Salonga Man Killed in Wednesday Morning Crash

A Fort Salonga man was killed Wednesday morning when he drove into a tractor trailer in Coram.

According to Suffolk County Police, 89-year-old Albert Pierro was driving north on Route 112 when he struck the trailer while the driver of the 2009 Peterbilt, Port Jefferson Station resident Nikolaos Karoutsos, was making a left-hand turn into a metal shop.
