Police Investigating Swastika Spray Painted at KP High School

Suffolk County Police are investigating an incident of graffiti, which occurred at the high school parking lot guard booth recently.

Kings Park District Superintendent, Susan Agruso, said school employees discovered a swastika spray painted on the guard booth on the morning of Feb. 6. The district then contacted police to notify them of the incident, which is being investigated by the hate crimes unit.

Smithtown Zoning Board Denies Concrete Biz KPE

Kings Park and Commack residents have won the latest fight in their ongoing battle to get heavy industry out of their backyards.

Smithtown's Board of Zoning Appeals voted to deny KPE II a certificate of existing use that would legalize its pre-cast concrete business off Old Northport Road and Lawrence Road in Kings Park on Feb. 12.

Creighton to Run for Smithtown Town Supervisor

Patrick Vecchio will have competition from a current town councilman in November when he decides to run for his 13th Town Supervisor term – Robert Creighton.

Kennedy: Republicans Will Make Right Smithtown Town Supervisor Choice

"The registered Republicans of the Town of Smithtown will make a choice who they want to ultimately be the candidate for Town Supervisor and I will respect whatever their choice is," Kennedy said in a phone interview Wednesday.
