A round up of the week's news.

Starting pitcher for the Kings Park Kingsmen, Joe Guercio, is beginning his senior year and eyeing a championship according to a report published Thursday in the Times of Smithtown.

The Town of Smithtown was robbed of more than $200,000 by a trio operating a recycling scheme in town for more than two years, officials said, and that amount is likely to increase.

Suffolk County Sheriff's Office charge Deana Gorman-Olsen with DWI, speeding and driving without a license.

Friends since second grade, Linda Love and Doreen Murphy, decided to take their passion for pets into a full time business venture with the launch of Groomeria a semi-mobile pet grooming business.

It’s probably obvious to say local naturalist  and Kings Park resident, Jan Porinchak’s focus is on nature.

As a for Kings Park Patch, Porinchak opens his readers’ eyes to the natural world found in the beaches, forests and ecosystems surrounding Kings Park. As a natural artist, he draws and illustrates that world, taking things that are beneath the surface to the canvas for the less adventurous to wonder at, and it’s no wonder that his work is winning awards and accolades state wide.
