Video: Former Employees Remember KPSH

During the hospital's final days, some employees look back.

The history of the Kings Park State Hospital is as unique as it is storied. Imagine a microcosm, a community within itself that was nearly self-sustaining, containing its own railroad, power plant and working farm. There is almost nothing to compare it to and probably nothing like it on Long Island today.

A few employees bring to life through words and pictures what life was like then. Though this video is on You Tube, the Kings Park Heritage Museum and the work of Steve Weber is how much of this history is being preserved.
