The Week Ahead: Photography Club Meets, Donation Collection and More

Here's what's happening this week in and around Kings Park.

KPY General Meeting

Kings Park Youth will hold a general meeting on Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the cafeteria at the William T. Rogers Middle School.

Kings Park Photography Club

This month, the club will be conducting still life work shop. Things to bring if available are a tripod, remote shutter release, external flash and naturally your camera.  The meeting will be on Thursday at the Kings Park Library from 7:00- 8:45 p.m.

Donation Collection

Team Challenge, supporting the non-profit Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America non profit is sponsoring an after race party for the Kings Park 15k Race on Mar 16, 2013.The group needs pasta, heroes or bagels to be donated at the function as well as party decorations. Collection is happening this week at Past Times Bar and Grill.

Irish Step Dancing Lessons

Head over to the Frank Brush Barn with $15 at 4 p.m. all week and you could learn how to Irish step dance with the An Rince Mor School of Irish Dance.

Parma Night

Every Wednesday night Ciro's hosts  Parma Night which includes either the soup of the day, a tossed or Caesar salad, any Parmesan dish (veal, eggplant, chicken or shrimp), dessert and coffee for 14.95.

Hmmm, now I wonder who or what organization could be doing this illegal act? I'm not going to make an educated guess who could be involverd in this deed but I think if Kings Parkers do some research they are smart enough to figure out who does not want the real facts of the "Uplands Project" to come to light. Displaying these signs is a way of making the public aware of the atrocity of this project. Questions will then be asked. Making a night run to remove them is, at the least, a cowardly act that should be publicized every time it occurs!
