Spotlight Event: Keeping Children Safe From Sexual Abuse

Parenting workshop being held next Tuesday.

The Kings Park Council of Schools is having a parenting workshop next Tuesday to educate parents on how to protect children from sexual abuse.

The class is being conducted by Nicole Tierno, a licensed mental health counselor who has been working in the field of child abuse as well as family violence and sexual abuse for nearly 10 years.

The workshop will teach parents what questions to ask daycare providers, teacher and coaches as well as learn practical ways to teach their children about the importance of body safety.
