Spotlight Event: Kids Passover Fun

Kids can celebrate Passover early with hands-on model matzah factory

Children can re-enact the process of manufacturing Matzah, from grinding the flour to kneading the dough, to baking the Matzahs on a stone oven, all within 18 minutes, the time limit in which Matzah must be made at an even held at Chabad of Mid Suffolk.

Chabad Rabbi Mendel Teldon, director of the Chabad of Mid Suffolk, will facilitate the interactive program. The event is $5 per person and is open to the public.

The Model Matzah Factory will be held on March 18th, at 83 Shirley Ct. in Commack. There will be 2 shows; 4:30 and 5:15PM.

The eight-day festival of Passover is celebrated this year from sundown on  Monday night, March 25, until after nightfall on Tuesday, April 2. Passover commemorates the exodus of the Jews from Egypt and will be celebrated with festive “Seder” dinners on March 25 and 26. Other holiday observances include restricting the consumption of leavened products such as bread and pasta, instead eating unleavened matzah. Additional information about the Passover holiday is available at http://www.ChabadMidSuffolk.com/Passover.

Apparently you are not the only one this is happening to. From what I understand if these signs areRead More on a main drag somehow they are disappearing in the middle of the night. Hmmm, now I wonder who or what organization could be doing this illegal act? I'm not going to make an educated guess who could be involverd in this deed but I think if Kings Parkers do some research they are smart enough to figure out who does not want the real facts of the "Uplands Project" to come to light. Displaying these signs is a way of making the public aware of the atrocity of this project. Questions will then be asked. Making a night run to remove them is, at the least, a cowardly act that should be publicized every time it occurs!
