Do you know an exceptional young Long Island woman who is a leader in helping women & girls achieve greater equality? Nominate her for the 2013 Shapiro-McCormick Young Woman Leader Award.
This honor is awarded to a young woman who has distinguished herself as a leader who is invested in achieving greater equality for women. To be eligible, a nominee must currently be a sophomore or junior in high school and in good academic standing.
Past winners include Elizabeth Schneider of Kings Park who received a $1,000 Young Woman Leader Community Service Grant in 2011.
