Commack Fire Commissioner Returns Home Touched by Newtown Tragedy

Commack is hundreds of miles away from Newton, Conn. where news broke last Friday that a school shooting had killed 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School. In the aftermath, hundreds of volunteers and well-wishers has poured into the town and in doing so, its impact has touched their lives as well.

Commack Fire Commissioner Patrick Fazio said he went up to Newtown to visit and give support to the shooting's first responders.

THREE VILLAGE 

Alleged Holiday Tip Thieves Arrested in Three Village

Suffolk police have arrested two people whom they say stole tips left by Three Village residents intended for their sanitation workers on Thursday.

A 20-year-old Setauket man and 29-year-old Centereach woman were arrested in separate incidents.

Following the two incidents, the Suffolk County Police Department issued a statement suggesting residents hand-deliver any tips for their sanitation workers.

PORT JEFFERSON

Students arrived at Comsewogue High School on Monday morning wearing blue and yellow to show their support for the community of Newtown, according to Assistant Superintendent Jennifer Reph.

Local Superintendents Respond to Sandy Hook Tragedy

The unspeakable tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Conn. this past week has tugged at the heartstrings of everyone, with many asking what is being done to prevent this from happening again somewhere else.

Superintendents from Miller Place, Rocky Point and Mt. Sinai have all released statements regarding the incident which discuss security and other topics of concern, and also join the nation in mourning those lost.

Hmmm, now I wonder who or what organization could be doing this illegal act? I'm not going to make an educated guess who could be involverd in this deed but I think if Kings Parkers do some research they are smart enough to figure out who does not want the real facts of the "Uplands Project" to come to light. Displaying these signs is a way of making the public aware of the atrocity of this project. Questions will then be asked. Making a night run to remove them is, at the least, a cowardly act that should be publicized every time it occurs!
