Fire Breaks Out at Oak Tree Dairy

A fire broke out on the roof of the Oak Tree Dairy on Elwood Road around 9 a.m. Wednesday, said Greenlawn Fire Chief Scott Dalrymple.

The small fire occurred in a roughly 10-by-10 foot area in the corner of the roof and was put out in under an hour. No one was hurt.

Northport Police Arrest Man Accused in Christmas Road Rage

A Moriches man was arrested by Northport Police on Christmas after he allegedly flashed a gun at another driver during a road rage incident in Farmingville.

Suffolk Police say they received a call from a motorist at around noon on Dec. 25, claiming that another driver had flashed a handgun and pointed it at him following a traffic dispute on Nicolls Road just north of the LIE.

Southwest Plane Slides Off MacArthur Taxi-Way

A Southwest Airlines plane slid off a runway at Long Island MacArthur Airport Thursday morning, according to a report in Newsday.

A spokesperson for the Suffolk County Police Department said the airliner came to a stop on the grass. Initial reports indicated there were no injuries.

Amputee Basketball Team Spreads Strong Message in Rocky Point

The AMP 1 amputee basketball team recently played at Rocky Point High School, spreading their message to never give up when life presents its challenges.

The team, comprised of amputee players from across the country, spoke with high school and middle school students during an in-school assembly to share their messages of courage and strength and how they see their disabilities as positive life challenges rather than ones that negatively define them.

Local Wins $10K in Mega Millions

The New York Lottery announced Monday that Lawrence Millman won the $10,000 during the drawing held Oct. 30. Millman bought the winning ticket at the Two J's Sunoco station, located at 377 Vets Highway in Smithtown.

Hmmm, now I wonder who or what organization could be doing this illegal act? I'm not going to make an educated guess who could be involverd in this deed but I think if Kings Parkers do some research they are smart enough to figure out who does not want the real facts of the "Uplands Project" to come to light. Displaying these signs is a way of making the public aware of the atrocity of this project. Questions will then be asked. Making a night run to remove them is, at the least, a cowardly act that should be publicized every time it occurs!
