New York State on Tuesday paid St. James-based Gyrodyne Co. of America a $167.5 million settlement as the completion of the company's lawsuit against the state for undervaluing the land it annexed via eminent domain, according to a report published Thursday in Long Island Business News.

The Wildcat Athletic Club Field Renovation Committee, a booster club comprised of district residents, had its construction plan by BBS Architects & Engineers for a high school football field press box recently approved by the Board, according to a report in the Village Beacon Record.

The plan,, is fully funded by the booster club and comes at no cost to the district. Booster Club President Chris Rosati estimates the total cost of the project to be $52,400, the report reads.
