Missing: Anyone With Information on the Letter D Contact the Library
Library forgets D but is sure to remember a shovel at Friday's groundbreaking ceremony.
The Smithtown Library may have forgotten the D in groundbreaking but will remember the shovel for the Friday ceremony symbolizing the beginning of construction on the renovation at the Kings Park Library.
The ceremony begins at noon. Guest speakers include Legis. Lynne Nowick, Smithtown Town Supervisor Patrick Vecchio, Kings Park Chamber of Commerce President Charlie Gardner and Kings Park Civic Association Vice President Mike Rosato. Members of the library board will be on hand to dig in as well.
A grand reopening will take place the same day at the Commack branch beginning at 1:30 p.m. State Sen. John Flanagan is expected to attend the ceremony there in addition to those present at the Kings Park ceremony.
