The Kings Park Veterans Day Parade will take place at 10:30 am on Monday, beginning at RJO Intermediate School on Old Dock Road. the parade will then continue up to Main Street and end at Veterans Park, by the Kings Park Library on the corner of Church Street and Main Street.
A collection for those affected by Hurricane Sandy will take place from 10:30 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the VFW Hall on Church Street. Trucks will depart Monday and Tuesday to locations on the south shore.
Items that are in need are: toiletries, non perishable items, cleaning items, new socks, shovels, hammers, baby items/food, batteries, mops and buckets. No clothes please!! Only winter jackets, gloves, hats and scarves at this time.
