Kings Park Native Lauded by Writers Guild of America

Michael Cyril Creighton, wins award for web series, "Jack in a Box".

Kings Park native and St. Anthony alum, Michael Cyril Creighton was awarded Outstanding Achievement in Writing for New Media by the Writers Guild of America on Saturday evening.

Creighton, grandson of Smithtown town councilman Robert Creighton, was awarded for his web series, Jack in a Box, in which he writes and acts.

Creighton holds a BFA in acting from Emerson College and was the recipient of the 2011 Carol Burnett Award. The ceremony was held at BB King's House of Blues in New York City.
