Is Presidential Candidate Michele Bachmann an American Girl?

Tom Petty doesn’t think so.

Rocker Tom Petty doesn’t like the tune that presidential candidate Michele Bachmann is using on her campaign announcement and has issued Bachmann a cease-and desist letter saying he doesn’t want her using his song "American Girl" in her campaign promotions according Rolling Stone magazine.

John McCain used Jackson Browne's "Running On Empty" during the 2008 Presidential campaign without permission. In that case, Browne sent him a cease and desist letter as well, insisting that McCain stop using his song for his campaign.

@Syd- That is the one I remember most. I think that is what is most baffling, when they pick a song without understanding the meaning.
