Georgetown Cupcake Raffle at the Farmers Market

Winner gets one free year of Georgetown cupcakes.

Do you like cupcakes? If so, there's one sweet upcoming raffle that will benefit local students - and cupcake fans alike.

According to Kings Park Civic Association Member, Aly Elish-Swartz, Friends and Farmers Inc., in conjunction with the KPCA, has teamed up again with former Kings Park resident Terrence Noonan and producer of the TLC reality television show “DC Cupcakes”, to sponsor a raffle of a year's worth of free cupcakes. Proceeds will benefit a local food pantry, as well as a scholarship given by the Kings Park Civic Association. A dozen cupcakes will be sent each month to the winner.

Raffle tickets will be sold at the on Aug. 5 and 12. The drawing will be on Aug. 12 at 1:00.

The Kings Park Farmers Market is held on Sundays from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the municipal lot on Main Street.
