Crime Report: Man Charged With Removing Vehicle Identification Numbers

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The Suffolk County Police Department reported the following arrests:

Daniel Ramos, 20, of Kings Park was charged in Babylon with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, on Dec. 1. Police said Ramos was driving a 2004 Toyota Corolla when he struck a parked vehicle in the Babylon train station parking lot.

Matthew Kois, 30, of Northport, was charged in Kings Park on Nov. 11 with removing a vehicle identification number, a felony. Police said Kois removed the vehicle identification number from a 1977  and 1980 Chevy Corvette According to police, Kois was selling the cars for parts and is not registered to do so.

Jennifer Ryan, 47, of Kings Park, was charged with driving while intoxicated in Kings Park on Nov. 29. Police said Ryan was driving a 2012 Toyota  at 11:30 p.m. on Route 25a in Kings Park when she failed to maintain her lane. Police charged Ryan with DWI and aggravated DWI, which is having a blood alcohol content of over .18.  Both charges are misdemeanors.

Sylvayne Sigmon, 43, of Kings Park, was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, in Bay Shore on Nov. 28. Police said Sigmon took merchandise from Lowes in Bayshore. Police also charged Sigmon with drug possession for having crack cocaine on him at the time of the arrest. Police also charged him with petit larceny for taking two Michael Kors coats from Lids in Bayshore.

Hmmm, now I wonder who or what organization could be doing this illegal act? I'm not going to make an educated guess who could be involverd in this deed but I think if Kings Parkers do some research they are smart enough to figure out who does not want the real facts of the "Uplands Project" to come to light. Displaying these signs is a way of making the public aware of the atrocity of this project. Questions will then be asked. Making a night run to remove them is, at the least, a cowardly act that should be publicized every time it occurs!
