5 Events Happening This Week: Seafood Fest at Sunken Meadow

A highlight of what's happening in and around Kings Park this week.

 

As with everything else, our eyes can change over time. Dr. Richard Gotlib, Board Certified Opthalmologist, will discuss how our eyes work, what changes we may experience as we age and treatment and prevention of eye problems. Registration is required. Tuesday, 2 p.m. at the Commack branch of the Smithtown Library.

The Kings Park Civic Association is meeting Tuesday evening at 7:30 at the high school. Agenda items include an update on construction at the Kings Park Library from library director Rob Lusack.

The is held every Wednesday at from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the main concession stand, located at field 1. The toll booths close at 4:00 p.m. on weekdays, so parking is free.

The Smithtown Town Board will meet on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the senior citizen center. A copy of the agenda can be found on the town's site after 5 p.m. on Wednesday evening.

The 2012 Knicks Basketball Camp will provide boys and girls ages 8-18 with a structured basketball learning experience that encourages team participation and personal development. All campers receive a Knicks uniform.

Hmmm, now I wonder who or what organization could be doing this illegal act? I'm not going to make an educated guess who could be involverd in this deed but I think if Kings Parkers do some research they are smart enough to figure out who does not want the real facts of the "Uplands Project" to come to light. Displaying these signs is a way of making the public aware of the atrocity of this project. Questions will then be asked. Making a night run to remove them is, at the least, a cowardly act that should be publicized every time it occurs!
